Your ads see the same sales and enquiries as your store
Sales and enquiries in GA4, Google Ads and Meta: standard events via GTM, a ready container template, Consent Mode v2 and the source of every order
What it gives your business
Sales and enquiries visible in your ads
At Turboshop we send purchases, carts and enquiries to Google Tag Manager with standard GA4 event names, so Google Ads and Meta learn from real sales, not just page views.
Set up without a developer
You paste your GTM container ID and import our container template, so you don’t build tags and triggers by hand.
Honest numbers, no duplicates
The store sends no separate page_view, every pixel event has its own event_id, and complaints and returns don’t count as leads, so conversions aren’t inflated.
Cookie consent done right
With the consent widget on, analytics and ad scripts wait for the shopper’s choice and Google receives Consent Mode v2 signals, so you can advertise in the EU too.
The source of every order
UTM tags are saved with orders, enquiries and sign-ups, and we label untagged gclid or fbclid visits ourselves, so you see where shoppers come from.
Features
Google Tag Manager in a minute
Paste the container ID in Settings → Meta & Marketing, and Turboshop support provides a ready-made container template.
GA4 e-commerce events
view_item_list, view_item, add_to_cart, view_cart, begin_checkout, add_shipping_info, add_payment_info and purchase reach the dataLayer under Google’s standard names.
Enquiries and other shopper actions
Form enquiries (generate_lead), sign-up, login, search, phone or messenger clicks, reviews, wishlist and back-in-stock requests become events too.
Meta Pixel events via GTM
Events map to ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, AddPaymentInfo, Purchase, Lead, Contact, CompleteRegistration and Search.
Price of the chosen variant
Events carry the base price of the exact size or colour the shopper picked, and personal wholesale and dropshipping prices never reach your ads.
Purchase type and availability
purchase_type tells checkout, one-click and wholesale orders apart, and item_availability marks pre-orders and made-to-order items.
Event deduplication for Meta
Each pixel event has its own event_id, so Meta won’t count it twice if you connect the Conversions API later.
Consent Mode v2
Until the shopper decides, Google gets denied on all four consent signals, then their choice separately for analytics and advertising.
Scripts only after consent
With the cookie consent widget on, GTM and GA4 start after analytics consent and Meta Pixel after marketing consent.
Who it is for
- Stores advertising on Google Ads and Meta that optimise campaigns for sales.
- Marketers and agencies who need standard GA4 events without custom development.
- Stores built on enquiries and consultations, where a lead matters as much as a sale.
- Stores selling in the EU that must ask for cookie consent.
- Wholesale and dropshipping stores that must keep personal prices out of ads.
How to connect
- 1Sign in to your Turboshop dashboard and pick a store.
- 2Open the add-on and connect it — paid ones are checked out in the dashboard.
- 3The add-on turns on in your store admin, with settings in its own section.
FAQ
Do I need to write any code?
No. Paste your GTM container ID in the settings, import our container template and replace the GA4 Measurement ID and Meta Pixel ID with your own. You can check events in GTM Preview mode.
I already added GA4 or the pixel separately. Will there be duplicates?
Keep the “GA4 - Google tag” and “Meta - Pixel base code” tags paused in the template, and page views won’t be counted twice. The store itself sends no separate page_view event.
How are price-on-request products counted?
They arrive with a price of 0 and a price_on_request flag. For value-based Google Ads bidding we recommend tracking such orders as a separate conversion without value, so bids learn from real revenue.
What if a shopper doesn’t accept cookies?
With the consent widget on, the GTM, GA4 and pixel scripts don’t start and Google receives a denied signal. Once the shopper agrees, only the script categories they allowed are switched on.
Do I need to enable analytics separately?
No, events, cookie consent and source tracking are built into Turboshop and work in every store. All you add is your own GTM container.
